JEWELLERY CARE

General

Avoid wearing your jewellery when cleaning, bathing, showering, swimming and particularly when going to the beach. It is also important that no chemicals, lotions or perfumes get in direct contact with the jewellery since harsh detergents can damage the gold. Avoiding this will protect your pieces and ensure longer wear.

Additionally, diamonds are naturally occurring hard stones but can get damaged when knocked. Semi-precious stones vary in hardness (emeralds being the softest) and need additional care taken.

For BEAZIE gold-plated pieces, please be aware that plating will scratch and rub off over time. This is unavoidable. The greater care you take, the longer the plating will last. Do not wash your hands wearing rings, try not to wear necklaces layered on top of one another, or have bracelets that constantly bash into one another. BEAZIE plated jewellery is designed for the plating to garner a vintage look with the 14k yellow and rose gold over time. If, however, BEAZIE neon plating rubs off, it is possible for you to contact us regarding re-plating, for which we charge a fee per piece, depending on the amount of plating required.

Storing

When your jewellery is not worn, keep the pieces in the BEAZIE box or pouch that you received with your purchase. Try to make sure that the pieces are not touching to avoid tangling and scratching. For necklaces, it is always better to close them when they are being stored.

Cleaning

If your jewellery has been worn frequently, it tends to need a little clean. The best way to do this is with a toothbrush and warm soapy water. Pour some water into a container, apply a small amount of soap to the brush and rub gently. Do not use this method for plated pieces as it will rub off the plating. It is best to purchase a jewellery polishing cloth and rub off marks and dirt very gently.
